

District 35 2013 Little League baseball season is gearing up.
The teams have been drafted and practices have begun. Opening Ceremonies are starting with Sebastopol on March 17 and continue through April. Check out SCSM baseball calendar for a list of all the opening day ceremonies.
Little League can start as early as tee-ball for 5 & 6 year olds to seniors up to 16 years of age. Find the little league in your area.
13 extremely talented baseball players ranging in age from 10 to 12 years when their season started have achieved what all little leaguers dream of: they earned their spot in the Little League World Series!
They started by winning their district, then they took their division, State, Western Region, to earn their chance to play on national TV in Williamsport.
The boys made a fantastic and at times amazing comebacks. In the end they achieved 2nd in the US and 3rd in the world!
Team Roster


Mitch Delfino, Cloverdale High grad and Cal junior, was drafted in the 20th round by the SF Giants. Delfino is an infielder. This season at Cal Delfino batted the teams best of .355, hit 11 doubles, 5 home runs, and 38 RBIs. Delfino has until mid-July to decide whether to sign a contract with the Giants or to play for Cal his senior year.
Chadd Krist, Petaluma High grad and Cal senior, was drafted in the 9th round by the Chicago Cubs. Krist is a catcher. Krist was drafted in the 13th round by the Chicago White Sox in the 2011 draft but chose to wait until he finished his senior year to sign.
Wine Country Baseball will consist of 6 teams . This will help consolidate the talent, increase competition and elevate the level of play. The teams are primarily made up of local men ages 18-42 years of age who love the game of baseball. The Classic is a tournament held August 10th, 11th & 12th.

Sonoma County has a new team playing in the Far West League - the Healdsburg Prune Packers. The Far West League is an interstate summer collegiate wood bat baseball league, existing to enhance the summer baseball experience for each community, team and baseball player within the league.
The Healdsburg Prune Packers play their home games at the Healdsburg Rec park. Come out and give them your support! HPP Schedule
