California’s wild animals and plants need your help, and there’s an easy way to do it! Just make a voluntary contribution on line 403 and/or line 410 of your state income tax return (Form 540). By contributing any amount over one dollar you can support the Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) Rare and Endangered Species Preservation Fund and/or the California Sea Otter Fund. What you donate this year is tax deductible on next year’s return.

ARCHERY & CROSSBOW HUNTING

Lake Sonoma Pig Hunting through March 21, 2013.

There will be no shotgun hunting this season - Archery and crossbow hunting only!  Absolutely no pig hunting on Mondays or Tuesdays.

Hunters are reqired to posses a valid hunting license on their person and have pig tags with them while hunting.  Dogs may not be used while hunting.  Hunters may not possess a firearm, including a sidearm, while in the field.                                                                     More Info

SMALL BORE WINTER RIFLE MATCH

Matches held at the Sebastopol Rifle and Pistol Club on the
4th Sunday of each month from November - March @ 9am.

Open to all Sebastopol Rifle and Pistol Club & Sonoma County Shooting Association members and their guests.
Its a great game for hunter and hi-power shooters who recognize it will hone their shooting skills.  It can introduce youth and adults to the excitement and challenge of rifle target shooting.

STEELE HEAD FISHING ON THE RUSSIAN RIVER

Most of us who have fished the Russian River believe this year’s run was the best in over 30 years. The no rain December and the dry first 15 days of January allowed us to see and fish this once great Steelhead fishery daily and witness 1,000's of fresh fish enter the system on a consistent basis.
