


The Equus Awards Banquet was another success. The Sonoma County Horse Council in honored: Marty Griffin, Neal Shepard, Red rightsell, Valerie Kasnick, Steve Burchfield, and Ten Thirty.
The Banquet was held on Saturday, March 23rd at the Double Tree Hotel in Rohnert Park.
Event included fine food, awards ceremony, silent auction, $1,000 raffle prize, and dancing.
The Sonoma County Trails Council needs volunteers to help repair the trails. Bring Gloves, hat, water , wear long pants and boots.

CEPEC is the California Equestrian Park and Event Center - a non-profit corporation formed to create a facility for use by the public as well as equestrians.
The proposed 1,200 acre facility, 800 acres of which will be reserved as open space for livestock grazing and trails for riding and hiking, is located off Roblar Road, west of Cotati.

The Sonoma State Equestrian Team is open to all current SSU students who are dedicated to the Equestrian Sport. The team travels throughout Northern California and the US competing with the Intercollegiate Horse Show association (IHSA) and the West Coast Collegiate Eventing League (WCCEL).
Students compete in three main disciplines: Hunt Seat Equitation, Western Horsemanship, and Eventing.
