GET SOME MUD ON THE WATER

The first annual Russian River Mud Run is Sunday, May 5th on the campus of Rio Lindo Adventist Academy in Healdsburg, on the banks of the Russian River.
Choose between the 5K or the 10K.  The 10K course incorporates the 5K.  runners will experience road, gravel, dirt, riverbed, forest and orchard terrain.  Three steep uphill and downhill elements with Mud-Pits, Roped Terrain, the Beaches of Normandy, rivercrossings, Sherwood Forrest, and a flooded orchard.  The course finishes on Killer Hill with a quarter mile sprint to the finish.          more info

GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR STROKES

If you are not out to race or circumnavigate any major land masses, then any paddling technique will most likely get you where you are going.  Or on the converse, if you have been paddling for years and feel confident in your stroke good for you.  However there are some refinements that a newbie can use right out of the chute and a veteran paddeler can use to refine his/her strokes.

IRONMAN 70.3 VINEMAN

The Ironman 70.3 Vineman Triathlon (formerly the Half Vineman Triathlon) consists of a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, and a 13.1 mile run and is a qualifier for the IRONMAN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 70.3 at Lake Las Vegas in Henderson, NV.  Register for the July 14, 2013 event!

Pro racers had a shot at a share of the $50,000 total purse. 2012 1st place and the $10,000 top prize went to Gregg Bennett for the men with an official time of 3:45:49 and Meriteth Kessller for the women with a 4:10:15 time.     More Triathlons/Duathlons                      Full Results
